2nd Annual Women in Entertainment Summit (WIE) – Hollywood, November 11, 2016
Jeannette Howe and I attended the full day conference held at the Arclight Cinema joined by our colleagues from Pearson, the folks that produce the Be Gender Intelligent learning experience.
The day was filled with enlightening, uplifting and galvanizing panels and presentations across the spectrum of entertainment including activists; our friend Madeline Di Nonno, CEO, Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media was the first panel’s moderator; artists, entrepreneurs, executives and journalists. We learned a great deal, and made some new contacts that will contribute to our growth as an organization.
Women in Entertainment Summit assembles luminaries from all corners of the entertainment industry to explore a variety of topics that greatly impact women: from human rights and women’s leadership, to storytelling across platforms and empowering the next generation of emerging creatives. The second annual event featured a full day of inventive programming with inspiring conversations around the ideas and innovations shaping the future for women across entertainment.
